It all started with an idea by Sonia Crystella, founder and designer of the extensive "Sonia Crystella" range of high quality executive leisure wear.
Sonia's knowledge and experience in the fashion industry spans 37 years. Starting as a machinist at age 15, she served her time with Joyce Productions in Auckland, New Zealand and maintains a close relationship with Joyce Stanghan.
Sonia quickly developed a skill for adding extra detail to garments, transforming them from ordinary to stand out design, Sonia's career developed through the design and making of exercise wear and lingerie ranges.
Moving into costume designing and making, Sonia was sought after for her innovative design and attention to detail in making these intricate garments.
Sonia recognised that the fashion industry did not offer a range of feminine leisure and track suits that were versatile and comfortable whilst retaining the highest level of quality.
To fill that need, "Sonia Crystella Design" is passionate about its range of quality leisure wear encompassing the best of manmade fabrics and specializing in the finest New Zealand merino wools, enabling the company to offer the disconcerting woman a choice that best suits her lifestyle.
The "Sonia Crystelia" collection gives women the option to dress up or down with interchangeable accessory pieces and clip on jewellery making these garments individual expressions of a woman's uniqueness.
Sonia works closely with her team of suppliers and manufacturers to ensure her garments are made with the best fabrics and components.
Attention to detail and an uncompromising commitment to quality is a prerequisite to being selected as a partner in the manufacture of the range.

From fabric design and function through to manufacturing the Company keeps a close watch over the process undertaken to provide a garment with the New Zealand high standard of quality backed by the New Zealand Merino Board.
